Standard Parkaa Name

Your site has a domain name of somesite.parkaa.com

Custom Domain Name

You can also point your own domain name to your site at Parkaa.

for example if you own the domain www.mysite.com then you can use this name to display your parkaa site. You can always access your site with the Standard Parkaa Name.

In order to set this up.

1. Contact the parkaa admin so that Parkaa can be configured to recognize your custom domain name.

2. Configure your DNS record to point to Parkaa

(Sub)domain                         Type                           Target

www                                      CNAME                       parkaa.nl.

you can also point to the parkaa IP number but note that this could potentially change in the future

HTTPS

Parkaa does not support HTTPS at this time. The sites are mainly informational only and do not have to encrypt any private data.

The only private data that you may wish to secure is any messages sent through the contact form.

Order Module

When using the order module customer information is entered via HTTPS on Parkaa.com directly. Payments are also handled via HTTPS by your selected payment provider.

Cloudflare

One option to easily add (Free) HTTPS support to your site is to open an account with
Cloudflare

1. Choose Add Site

2. Enter your domain name and select a plan. The free plan is sufficient.

3. Cloudflare will automatically fetch your DNS settings.

4. Modify your nameservers as instructed by Cloudflare

5. In the Cloudflare dashboard set the following

 * SSL > Overview > Flexible
 * SSL > Edge Certificates > Always Use HTTPS > either On / Off ( On is better )

That is it.

It will take some time for the settings to take effect (24 Hours).

Cookies

Your site will not normally use any cookies from Parkaa. If you use eg Google Analytics then Google will place cookies.

If you use the order module then Parkaa will use a cookie for the shopping basket. This is a functional cookie.

Functional cookies are cookies that fall outside the scope of the cookie law. There is no need to request permission for this kind of cookies, nor is there any need to describe them in your cookie policy (although we think that is a good idea).
